Questions and answers
What should I wear or bring to the escape room?
No special clothing is required.
But it may be helpful to bring your reading glasses.
Can we play with a team of two?
Our rooms are generally only playable with teams of 3 players or more.
If there’s only two of you, why not find another or two persons to join? With a larger team the game flow will improve significantly!

Until when can I cancel/cancel or postpone my game?
More than 14 days in advance (this applies to both escape rooms and boller battle)
- Your booking can be canceled free of charge.
14 days to 48 hours before the date:
- Your booking will be converted into a voucher. The validity time is 365 days.
- If you have already chosen an alternative date, we will be happy to rebook you.
Less than 48 hours before the booked appointment:
- Your booking will be converted into a voucher and a service fee of €30 will be charged.
Cancellations AFTER the scheduled appointment are NOT permitted. This means that if you miss your appointment without notifying us, you will be charged the full amount.
Accessibility: Wheelchairs?
Mobility issues
The “magical music machine” room is barrier-free – at least as far as wheelchair accessibility is concerned. The narrowest corridor that we cannot change is 70 cm wide. If in doubt, please get in touch with us and we will exchange our experiences and see how we can arrange it. The highest threshold to be crossed is a normal threshold at the entrance door (1-2 cm).
Unfortunately, we do not have a wheelchair-accessible toilet!
The rooms the traveler and the mysterious melody are not wheelchair accessible for structural reasons.
Accessibility - lighting effects, colors, etc.
Trigger warnings, lights and colors
We use light and sound effects (LED), but generally no strobes or similar.
Magical Music Machine (Kartäuserwall)
This classic room gets by with very few lighting effects (only illuminated screens) and should cause problems for very few people.
The traveller (Kartäuserwall)
LED running lights are used in the traveler’s room. Although these do not flash or flicker, they could be problematic for people with epilepsy. If in doubt, we would advise those affected not to visit. We look forward to hearing from you so that we can discuss the issue openly.
The mysterious Melody (Mauritiussteinweg)
Noteworthy lighting effects in this room are the disco balls (visible on the website), which are illuminated and set in motion for a short time.
Information for colorblind people
We have made every effort to take the needs of colorblind people into consideration wherever possible. However, this is never 100% possible.
Of course, escape rooms are team games for people with a wide range of skills. So if you can’t solve a puzzle, someone else in your team certainly can!
What is the best escape room in Cologne?

The Magical Music Machine is a truly fun room, a crowd favorite, and one we maintain with great care. This room stands out for its wide variety of puzzles and entertaining team challenges. The Mysterious Melody (Downtown) largely follows the same concept, but takes the staging and immersion up a notch. This room stands out with a great story arc featuring atmospherically designed tasks.
Last but not least, “The Traveler” is our room for everyone who loves a good brain teaser but is still open to amazing and surprising effects. Here, in addition to challenging puzzle chains, you’ll also find the occasional science fiction Easter egg to discover.

Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed here! The playrooms are not suitable for them, and we don’t have space for them in the waiting area. Please make alternative arrangements for them during playtime.

The most important in a nutshell
Our “magical music machine” room is suitable for children. And so, of course, for children’s birthday parties.
- Minimum age 11 years (recommendation of the house: at least 5th grade).
- One adult supervisor is included in the price.
Important note:
The playrooms “The Traveler” and “Mysterious Melody” are not suitable for children.
Opening hours
Mondays to Fridays: 15:00 – 22:00
Saturdays and Sundays: 09:30 – 22:00

Procedure
Please be on time, i.e. at the booked time, so as not to delay the process too much for the following groups. We need enough time to prepare and tidy the rooms for the next group. Please also bear in mind that there is probably another group in the room playing before you that still wants to finish.
As soon as your group is complete, we will briefly explain how the game works and then you can get started! If there is still time after the game and you feel like it, we can take another look at the room together or take a photo of you in the room.
Your total stay lasts approx. 80-90 minutes.
